Classic Chai is a spiced black tea sold as loose leaf chai tea sachets, 4 to a box, for anyone who wants a real cup of chai without measuring, straining, or cleaning up after it.

This is one of the blends I serve at my tea parties, and it is the featured tea in my September box. It brews deep amber, smells like a kitchen in cool weather, and tastes bold underneath with warm spice on top.

Drop 1 sachet in your cup, add 8 ounces of hot water, and let it sit. No infuser, no strainer, no loose leaves in the sink. Add a splash of hot milk and you have a chai latte at your own kitchen counter, or pour it over ice on a Texas afternoon.

Does chai tea have caffeine?

Yes. The caffeine in this chai comes from the black tea base, not from the spices, and black tea sits below coffee cup for cup. If you want warm spice at night instead, look at the Caffeine-Free shelf for rooibos and peppermint.

How many cups of tea do I get in one box?

4 cups. Each box holds 4 loose leaf sachets and 1 sachet makes one 8 oz cup. If you drink chai most mornings, a box lasts about a week.

Do I need an infuser or a tea strainer?

No. The loose leaf is already packed inside the sachet, so you drop it in the cup, add hot water, and lift it out when the cup tastes right. Nothing to measure, nothing to rinse out.

Can I make a chai latte with these sachets?
