A tea party china rental gives you my own collection of mismatched vintage teacups, teapots, milk and sugar dishes, and tiered stands for an event in the San Antonio area, and it includes the part every host quietly dreads: we wash the dishes.
I built this collection over the years, one piece at a time, so no two place settings look the same. Set it out for a bridal shower, a baby shower, a birthday, a church luncheon, or a wedding reception, and when the day is over you pack the china back in its crates free of loose food. My team handles the washing and sanitising from there.
How to choose
- ✓ Setting your own table: Teacup and Tea China Rentals, cups and saucers, teapots, milk and sugar dishes, tea fact cards, and a sample of a signature blend, in sets of 12.
- ✓ Adding to the table: Tea China Rental Add-ons, dinner and dessert plates, three tier dessert stands, vases, platters, dessert dishes, and a child size tea set.
- ✓ Having it hosted instead of delivered: Book Your Tea Party, a mobile tea party where my daughter or I come to you, set the table, and serve.
- ✓ Not sure what your guest count or your space needs: a Tea Party Consultation to plan the table before you book anything.
- ✓ Adding dessert for a party near San Antonio: Personal Size Cake Gifts, made locally for pickup or delivery.
- ✓ Wanting to host tea parties for other people: the Consultant Starter Kit and Upgrade Kit, the tools and training behind my own parties.
Good to know
- ✓ Dishwashing is included in every rental package. You pack the china free of loose food and my team washes and sanitises it.
- ✓ Packages are built in sets of 12 place settings, from 12 guests up to 60 on the largest listed package.
- ✓ Delivery and pickup are included on packages over 24 guests, and optional on the smaller two.
- ✓ The china is vintage and fine bone china, deliberately mismatched, so every cup has its own saucer and no two settings match.
- ✓ A refundable damage deposit applies to every rental.
- ✓ Rentals are a local service in the San Antonio area. If your party is somewhere else, a tea party in a box ships anywhere.
If you would rather the whole thing were hosted, read about the tea parties I host in San Antonio, or see what is coming up in events. For an office reception or a client appreciation morning, corporate tea parties covers what I bring into a workplace. If you are still deciding on the theme and the menu, my post on how to organize a tea party walks through it.
Book the china, pour the tea, and leave the sink to me. Who will you invite to your table?
Questions people ask
Do I have to wash the teacups before I return them?
No. You pack the china back in its crates free of loose food and my team does all of the washing and sanitising. Dishwashing is included in every rental package, which is the step most rental companies leave to the host.
How many place settings can I rent?
Packages are built in sets of 12, starting at 12 guests and running to 60 on the largest listed package. Each one includes cups and saucers, teapots, milk and sugar dishes, tea fact cards, and a sample of a signature blend.
Do you deliver and pick up the china?
Delivery and pickup are included on packages over 24 guests. On the 12 and 24 guest packages delivery is optional, so send me your date and location and we will work out the pickup and drop off that suits your timing.
Is the china real, or is it a matched hire set?
It is real vintage and fine bone china that I collected myself over the years, not a uniform hire set. Every teacup comes with its own saucer, and the patterns are deliberately mismatched, so a table of twelve looks gathered rather than rented.
