This shelf is for joining a virtual tea party, not hosting one. Once a month I get on screen with tea lovers from all over, and for about 75 minutes we brew together, learn something about tea, play a game, and talk.

I started hosting tea parties in person because my own kitchen table was where my kids and I sat down and got honest with each other. The virtual party exists so distance stops being the reason someone misses it. You can be in San Antonio or in a small apartment three states away and still have a seat.

How to choose

  • ✓ To come once and see if it suits you: Our Monthly Virtual Tea Party, a single seat at the next party, or a seat with a Tea and Games Goody Box mailed to you beforehand.
  • ✓ To come every month and have the tea arrive with it: the Monthly Tea Blossom Subscription Club, twelve cups of tea a month, a cookie, a recipe card, and your membership in the party.
  • ✓ To make it a seasonal tradition and bring someone with you: the Seasonal Tea Society Subscription Club, a larger box four times a year, every monthly party, and a pass to bring one guest each month.

Good to know

  • ✓ Every party runs about 75 minutes and includes tea education, brewing tips, a game, and conversation prompts.
  • ✓ Alcohol free, always. Connection is the point, not the drink.
  • ✓ You join from anywhere. There is no local requirement and nothing to set up beyond your own cup.
  • ✓ Dates change month to month, so the next one is always listed on the virtual tea party page, along with the cutoff for ordering a goody box in time.
  • ✓ Both subscription clubs include your seat, so you never pay for the party twice.

If you would rather gather in person, my live and ticketed dates are on the events page, and private parties, corporate sessions, and china rentals are explained on Tea Parties by Erica Powers. If you want to set your own table at home instead, start with a tea party in a box.

Bring whatever is already in your cup, and come sit down with us.

Questions people ask

How does a virtual tea party actually work?

You buy a seat at the next monthly party and join on screen at the start time. For about 75 minutes I walk everyone through the tea, we play a game, and we use conversation prompts to talk. Brew whatever you have at home, or add the goody box so tea and games arrive first.

Do I need to be in San Antonio to join?

No. The monthly party is online and open from anywhere. My live tea parties, china rentals, and private bookings are the local side of what I do, and those dates and services sit on the events page instead.

Do I have to buy tea to come?

No. A seat is all you need, and you can brew whatever is already in your cupboard. If you would rather sip what everyone else is sipping, choose the seat with the Tea and Games Goody Box, or join a subscription club, which includes your seat every month.

Is the virtual tea party included with a subscription?

Yes. Monthly Tea Blossom members get membership in the party every month. Seasonal Tea Society members get every monthly party as well, plus a pass to bring one guest along each month.
