What Happens at a Virtual Tea Party (and What to Bring on September 28)
Once a month I get on a screen with women from all over, we brew the same tea at the same time, and for about 75 minutes nobody is in a hurry. Most virtual tea party ideas online are instructions for hosting one yourself. This is the other kind. I host, and you show up with a cup.

It runs about 75 minutes and it has a shape, so you are never wondering what you are supposed to be doing. Here is the flow I keep every month.
- We say hello and everybody gets their water going.
- I introduce the tea we are drinking and why I picked it for the month.
- We brew it together, and while it steeps I share brewing tips and a little tea education.
- We play a game. It is silly on purpose.
- I put conversation prompts on the table, and we talk until we run out of time.
That is it. No performance, no icebreaker where you have to stand up. Tea is poured hot, so we all wait for it to cool, and that waiting is where the good conversation lives.
What Should You Bring to a Virtual Tea Party?
You need 5 things, and you already own 4 of them.

Do you need the right tea to join?
No. Bring what is in your cupboard and you will be fine. Do You Have to Turn Your Camera On?
